In addition to our standard, comprehensive eye exam, our Enhanced Laser-Aided exam includes the newest technology we can provide and allows us to provide you the most complete eye exam available anywhere. The Enhanced Exam is recommended for all patients on their first visit to our office and for our previous patients every two years. Included in your Enhanced Exam is our Dual-Laser Retinal Scan – a rapid, ultra-wide field digital scan of the back of your eyes to identify and follow retinal pathologies like glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, retinal holes and detachments, and other vascular and retinal conditions. You will have the opportunity to review the color scans with the doctor as part of your examination. Our instrumentation provides the most complete view of the retina available anywhere, so may eliminate the need for dilation except when medically necessary.

The additional cost for the Enhanced Exam is covered by some insurance plans, particularly if retinal problems exist. For normal, healthy patients, the Enhanced exam is offered for only the additional cost to our office.
